Regarding the frenzied abuse of Governor Sarah Palin by mainstream media types, Gawker writer Sheila McClear observes that "the precious blue-state liberals reveal themselves to be the small-minded yokels suspicious of anything and everyone that's different." Even more remarkable is that the commenters are generally receptive to her post. (I double-checked the URL to make sure I wasn't being lured in by some bizarre fake-Gawker phishing scheme.)
