In defense of Governor Palin

So the McCain campaign is coming apart post-election, with staffers bad-mouthing Governor Palin. Michelle Malkin raises an excellent defense of Palin on her blog. I honestly can’t imagine what these people think they’re going to get from this. Eventually their names will come out and after that they’ll be done in political consulting.

Aside from being a genuine conservative, Palin has an extraordinary talent: she can draw and mesmerize huge crowds. That alone will guarantee her a role in the 2012 campaign, and possibly a win.

Hillary supporters helping in Pennsylvania

By all means go check out HillBuzz which reports the following:

Tonight we spoke with a friend from Hillary Clinton’s campaign who is now working for McCain/Palin — and is specifically working with Democrats for McCain in Pennsylvania. We worked with her in Texas, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for Hillary and have spent many LONG hours with her in the trenches in all of those states. She’s smart, doesn’t BS, and never lies.

She says the same thing we do: John McCain will win Pennsylvania.

On November 4th, the news networks are going to be spinning and sputtering and playing catchup, but everything we see on the ground in PA is what we saw during the primaries: Obama has no shot of winning the Keystone State.

Pennsylvania voters don’t like to admit supporting GOP to pollsters. Don’t forget that in 2004, Kerry was reported to be taking PA by about seven points in the exit polls but wound up winning by only two. McCain-Palin will win Pennsylvania, and the election.

When “I understand your point” means “you’re crazy”

You gotta watch this. John McCain went on the view and Whoopi Goldberg went off her meds.

My guess is that McCain’s handlers have helped with a learned response to incredibly offensive, stupid remarks. Instead of smacking the offender, McCain has trained himself to say “I understand your point.”

Also watch Barbara Walters, whose face freezes as soon as Whoopi starts talking about the supposed threat of re-instituted slavery.

Why I Want John McCain Directing Strategy

There is no question that Obama had the potential to ride a huge wave to DC after his speech in Denver. That was until he came up against a Navy flier who actually knows a thing or two about combat strategy. Classic military strategy involves changing the battlefield and refocusing your opponent. Seems like McCain*Palin has done that.

Makes me very hopeful for what they’d be capable of doing with a bigger field.
