I’m not certain what to do with the SarahBarracuda.com domain in the idle space of time between 2008 and 2011, and I don’t know if I want to continue to blog here. But you should all read this defense of Governor Palin at Pajamas Media. And to think I once ridiculed that body as “Underpants Media”.
I’m not sure if this is a good idea, but some conservative bloggers are setting up Operation Leper to punish the McCain campaign staffers bad-mouthing Governor Palin. The concept is to prevent Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace – who some believe to be responsible for the anti-Palin slurs – from being able to work in Republican campaign positions in the future.
The problem with the strategy is that Wallace and Schmidt are sure to be rewarded by the left if they admit they are the leakers, which will bring them great financial benefits – probably greater than if they remained with the GOP. And if that happens, they’ll be paid to inflict greater damage on Palin in the future. So Operation Leper’s ‘punishment’ may well backfire. Also, if I read the quotes right, Wallace in particular seems conflicted and might well come back into the fold if not excoriated.
That isn’t to say the slanderers are admirable people in any way. I think what’s been done is disgusting. It would be nice if John McCain would actually step up and squash all this crap, but he doesn’t seem to make a habit of stopping in-fighting among his subordinates.
Obama Win Causes Obsessive Supporters To Realize How Empty Their Lives Are
The recent attempts to create a “rightroots” to rival the lefty “netroots” scare me. That’s not us. Conservatives don’t have enough free time to sit around posting to message boards all day.
So the McCain campaign is coming apart post-election, with staffers bad-mouthing Governor Palin. Michelle Malkin raises an excellent defense of Palin on her blog. I honestly can’t imagine what these people think they’re going to get from this. Eventually their names will come out and after that they’ll be done in political consulting.
Aside from being a genuine conservative, Palin has an extraordinary talent: she can draw and mesmerize huge crowds. That alone will guarantee her a role in the 2012 campaign, and possibly a win.
Check out this post by Bob Krumm discussing how Obama has more relatives living in poverty – but this time they’re in America. His aunt is living in relative squalor in Boston. And while the campaign got to her and told her to be quiet until after the election, they didn’t help her out.
I’ve never seen a presidential or vice-presidential candidate go after a media outlet like this. Palin’s opened up a spigot of invective at the Los Angeles Times. It’s amazingly honest and refreshing.
Why can she afford to do this? Because given the financial status of big papers, the Los Angeles Times may no longer exist in 2012.
There’s the senior senator from Delaware, Joe Biden, piss drunk and singing the theme song for a Florida retirement community. Pretty hilarious. Somehow I doubt this will show up on Katie Couric’s propagandacast.
As the Obama campaign begins to falter badly in battleground states, some long-term Obamatons are seriously losing it. Today in Galax, Virginia (NW of Winston-Salem, NC), two Obama campaign volunteers walked into the McCain office and sprayed mace at the people inside. They were angry and claimed some Obama-Biden signs were missing. And somehow they thought that justified assault.
